Excellent tool
This was my first ever mortice tool set and it is excellent, I had picked a few mortice locks with home made tools with varied success but with this set I have opened every lock I have. It might seem a little expensive but if you want to pick curtained mortice locks this is the tool you need! The quality is amazing and with a little practice you will be opening locks in minutes! Definitely one for the tool box

Works like a charm, opened several practice looks with it and then took it to a call out and managed to get it open to. Great tool and great service.
This is the one!
If you want to start mortice curtain picking then this is the one. Chris Belcher is widely regarded as the UK's authority on mortice lock picking and so you're getting a lifetime of knowledge in a single pick. I've tried a few so-called universal mortice picks and they're sh*t. This one is a bit more expensive but buying the others for around £100 is a false economy, they simply don;t do the job. So you'll buy a couple and loads of wires and before you know it you'll have spent more than the price of this. I know because that's what I did. Can't even sell the other ICL one on the forums as no one wants it! Says it all really. Well done Chris Belcher, a great bit of kit.

The best curtain pick I've tried. I'm not a locksmith, I pick locks for fun. I moved onto mortice picks last year and this is the third pick I've bought. Frankly, the other two were a waste of money, and barely worked, only on a certain make of lock, and then only a couple. This pick is quite different. It has already proven itself an a good variety of locks. When I bought it I didn't realise it was a Chris Belcher pick, but it makes sense, it;s just so good. No fancy tension bar, no pointless gimmicks, just a well made and well considered pick that does the job. I've had so much fun with this pick. There's nothing worse than struggling for hours and hours with a lock only to realise the pick isn't up for the job. I take on a new lock with this pick knowing if it doesn't work - it's probably me! Not cheap, but (like most picks) cheaper here than anywhere else. I will continue to support uk bumpkeys as they have always supplied picks cheaper than anywhere else, their customer support is second to none too. Sound like I'm brown-nosing now lol, but credit where it's due, especially when I've had bad experiences elsewhere. Anyway, if you want to get into mortice picking, you can't go wrong with this pick.
At last!
Tried loads of curtain picks ICL, RB, one from a forum, etc, tried this one - AT LAST! A multi-guage curtain pick that works! Not just one one type of lock, but across a broad spectrum. I've opened a Chubb, 2 Eras, a viscount and two I don't know the name of. It looks very simple, but maybe that's it's secret. No fancy sliders or markings, just a well designed pick with fantastic wires. In the process of making some different wires today too. This pick has reignited my interest in mortice picking that was dampened by the other picks (and a lot of money if you add them all up) I wish I had discovered this one first. I have also got the ukbumpkeys mortice manuals which have undoubtedly helped. Anyway, off to pick some more mortice locks....
