ABUS bypass
Sparrows ABUS Bypass Driver for the popular 72/40 padlock
The Sparrows ABUS driver is designed to bypass the very popular ABUS 72/40 padlock, which makes opening it feel almost like using a key. Because that lock is widely copied, the same driver also opens many cloned designs, so one small tool covers a surprisingly common family of padlocks.

Why buy this
Buy this when the padlock is an ABUS 72/40
Some padlocks open faster and more reliably with a dedicated bypass than with picking. The 72/40 and its many clones lack an effective wafer barrier, which is exactly what this driver exploits for a clean open.
Lock-specific
Built for the ABUS 72/40 and its clones.
Key-like ease
Bypass that feels close to using the key.
Pocket-small
A single tool for a common padlock family.
Use route
Engage the driver and turn
Insert the driver into a suitable 72/40 or clone, engage and turn as designed.
- Use on suitable ABUS 72/40 padlocks and clones.
- Keep it with your EDC for that lock family.
Helpful next step: more bypass tools.
